ACTIVE CHILD - HANGING ON
Shot in the mouth of a hidden Lake Ontario tributary and along the Au Sable River in the Adirondack Region of New York State, the production’s main home base was a turn of the century log hunting cabin sitting on 300 untouched acres, a mere 50 yards from the water. The production spanned 2 weeks in late November, early December with 3 primary crew members, a guide and the on-screen talent out on location. Clad in chest-high fishing waders and several backpacks of equipment, the crew ventured along the rivers’ banks and beneath the water in search of large Brown Trout and remote locations to tell the intimate story of an aging fly fisherman. A legend of his time, the fisherman is reminded of the life he has dedicated to his craft on a struggled journey to find his next big catch.
All fishing was done under a strict catch and release policy with emphasis on the well-being of the animals involved.
